Costa Verde Surf Shop was opened in 2017 after realizing the need for a complete family friendly surf shop to serve the Ballena Coast along the Southern Pacific zone from the popular surf town of Dominical to the rapidly expanding town of Uvita.   Being surrounded by surf spots including Dominical, Dominicalito, Playa Hermosa and Playa Chaman there is a surf spot for surfers of all skill levels.

We wanted to offer both visitors and locals alike a place where they will be able to find all they need for their surf and beach needs.  And most importantly a location where they could send friends and family to rent surf and boogie boards, pick up a rash guard or find environmentally friendly sun protection.   

​

Our board selection keeps growing, but most importantly we are eager to make sure we help the surfer find the right board for their experience and skill level.   Boards are the biggest investment a surfer will make, so helping the less experienced surfers get on different options (rental and demo boards) prior to purchasing can go a long way towards ensuring the right decision is made the first time.  But of course as a surfer advances, so does their needs.

We are pleased to offer excellent condition rental equipment and an online rental system so travelers can reserve equipment prior to arrival.

Being a beach community; we are happy to offer clothing, surf clothes, rash guards and sandals for kids, women and men.
